Shared Storage acts solely as a broker and does not provide legal agreements or contract enforcement.

Both renters and hosts must provide at least 30 days' notice to cancel an active storage agreement, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing between the parties.

We recommend researching nearby storage unit prices and listing your space at least 10% below local market rates to attract renters. Competitive pricing helps increase visibility and bookings on the platform.

Renters are charged a platform fee of 15% of the monthly rental amount to cover administrative and transaction costs. Hosts are charged a 5% service fee on their total gross monthly rental income for using the platform.

Hosts are responsible for reporting and filing their own income taxes in accordance with CRA (Canada Revenue Agency) requirements. Shared Storage does not issue tax forms or provide tax advice.
